Hello everyone,
I just wanted to know if these classes are good enough to go to a good college. I took these classes as a freshman:
H Biology
H History
Spanish 1
PE
English
Geometry
I am currently taking these classes:
H Chem
Ap History
Spanish 2
PE
H English 2
Algebra 2(I was originally put into H Algebra 2, but I dropped out)
Are these classes good enough to go to a good college? Are they “rigorous”?
I am going to take these classes a junior if these classes are not rigorous enough.
Ap chem
Spanish 3
Ap world history
H pre cal
H Enlgish 3
Ap computer science
Intro to egineering or physics
What about now? Are these classes going rigorous enough?
-
It depends upon which colleges you are targeting and how you compare to your fellow classmates and the type of classes they are taking.
-
There are over 3000 colleges in the US, so yes these classes are good enough for the majority of colleges.
-
What is important is doing well in your classes and showing that they are able to handle a rigorous course load.
I got straight As in those classes. I want to go to Caltech, Cornwell, MIT, or Berekly. Are these classes good enough for those classes?
it really depends whats offered to you at your school. every school is different. do you feel you’ve challenged yourself as much as you can? if so you’re probably good
Caltech, Cornell, MIT and Berkeley are very competitive schools where not only top grades and test scores are necessary for an acceptance but outstanding essays and awards/EC’s are extremely important. It is great to have a goal, but at the end of Junior year make a list of schools that fit your stats and of course, apply to a couple of Reach schools. As stated above ^^^ if you have challenged yourself and are taking a rigorous course load you should be fine (class wise) for these schools.
Yeah, but I just wanted to know if these classes are rigorous enough?
And do colleges think these courses are at least hard?
I am also teaching myself java. Does that count as something?
