Sam Houston is asking for 12 transferable credits to transfer I am taking 5 classes at hcc and that’s 10 credits for the fall and after spring that’s 20 credits all together could I transfer over?

Did you decide to attend Houston Community College instead of Alvin CC?
Are you following a degree plan that Sam Houston has for Biology Pre Dentistry http://www.shsu.edu/academics/oppa/pre-dental
or are you taking random classes to get to 12+ hours?
You really need to be making sure what you are taking now and next semester will be counted as hours towards a degree plan. For instance, when my daughter attended university X for Animal Science, she took 4 sciences her freshman year. When she transferred universities and changed her major, the hours transferred but the credits did not. None of the sciences she had taken at a Big 12 school were applicable towards the new degree plan which required different sciences.
What 5 classes are you taking that only give you 10 credit hours? Most required basic courses are 3 credit hours each and sciences and some maths are 4 credit hours, as they have labs. Taking random 2 credit hour classes may not give you the results you are looking for. Did you go to an advising appointment at HCC? If you didn’t, you need to soon, before registration opens for spring. An advisor can help you navigate the process so that you are on the right track.

I’m majoring in biology bs I’m taking biology 13016 and the lap history 1301 English 1301 that’s 10 credits right there one thing I messed up on was the math tsi I took it 3 times still couldn’t pass it you have to pass the math in order to be in chemistry and math 1314 so they put me in a math development class sadly so I have to apply to shsu in the sprint May 12 is the last day of school and hcc require you to take this class Edu if your a first time student at hcc and that doesn’t transfer over to shsu , If I didn’t have to take that I could take another class and have th credits to transfer over to sam after fall semester . Shsu said the only thing that could that would limit my acceptance is my credit hours and gpa .
