CollegeBoard Fee Waiver for CommonApp?

I received eight fee waivers for college applications from CollegeBoard over the summer. I thought they were sent out randomly, as my family doesn't qualify for need-based aid, and some people I know that do qualify didn't get them. I'm thankful to have received them, but I don't know how to use them. The instructions say it should be mailed to the college's admissions office, but I am submitting the application online, so it seems random to me. Also, there is no option for a CollegeBoard fee waiver on the common app as a payment method, apart from the need-based request for verification from the counselor (which is limited to 4 fee waivers only). Does anyone know what's going on with these waivers?

Thanks in advance!

We haven’t used them but from what I understand, you indicate in the Profile section of your common app that you believe you are eligible for a waiver (after which your counselor will be asked to verify) and then you mail the waiver to the school.

Oh alright! Thanks for answering! Since my family doesn’t qualify, I don’t think I can ask the counselor to verify it. I’ll just go ahead and pay.
