Hi!
My friends!
I am a student from Pakistan.
I and a lot of my friends could not take satI today because we havnt passport.
Actually we were not informed that in pakistan acceptable photo id is passport only.
I arrange my a lot of things like national identity card my college card my driving license etc but supervisor didnt accept it.
A lot of students like me were rejected to take test.
But point is that collegboard didnt tell us that in Pakistan acceptable photo id in passport only.
Please tell me what to do.
Ours future has been destroyed.
please tell me what we can do now?
Is it possible for collegeboard to take satI for us again?
Is it possible that collegeboard allow us to take SATI in november while deadline for registration has been passed?
Is it possible for us to sue again collegeboard?
please guide us.
We are very confused
please suggest us

Hello Pakistani friend.
You can try to take the test as stand-by for November if you get there early and if there are enough tests.
Next time, you should check the collegeboard website and/or your ticket for all the information. If you'll check:
http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/testday/id.html
It clearly states at the bottom: "Students testing in India, Ghana, Nepal, Nigeria, and Pakistan. You must present your current and valid passport containing your signature and a current, recognizable photo. No other form of ID will be accepted."
I don't think it would be very useful to sue the College Board in this case since you had been warned. I'd avise you to read everything carefully for next time.

Why would your future be destroyed just because you can't take the test in October?

You can take the November SAT as a standby, but you probably have to go to a MAJOR testing center in your country to do that -- moreover, you have to pay like $30 more. I don't really think you can sue collegeboard, because if they made the policy then they probably expect for you to know it already. And no, I don't think Collegeboard will allow you to have an October retake.

Good luck!

Mxlink and Oasis i am very very thankful to you for your help.
My supervisor told me that we have option to change ours test date till october because ours presence is marked as absent.
But we dont know where to go to change test date?
Is it possible even now?
If yes can we switch to november test ?
please guide us
thanks

please tell me

For these kinds of questions, call college board customer service. They are closed on the weekend but you can and should call during the week. I'm not exactly sure what your question is. It appears that you were unable to take the SAT on this October test date. Of course you can register again, just do it as soon as possible, so that you can take the SAT at a future time.
Don't worry...this will not ruin your life. There should be a testing date in November and one in December as well. If you are applying to college this year, that means you can still take the test in Nov. or Dec. and make the deadlines.

Can i register again with previous registration fee?
Whats about my fee?
Is it possible now to change test date by paying 20.50$ only?

I imagine that you are posting these questions here because it is the weekend and you are upset. If I were you I'd wait until Monday and contact CB directly with all of these questions.

it's unlikely you'll get those answers here. i don't think many here, if any, know what the rules are about sats in pakistan.

i think sat rules in this ragard are same in Pakistan as are in AMERICA

please someone tell me how to change test date after abseente is marked?

Lol you are going to fail cr and reading anyway. "Please suggest us"?
