Collegeboard "info" on colleges

are they really on track with admissions?

like, for exmaple, u of penn:

Very important admission factors:
Character/Personal Qualities
Essay
Recommendations
Secondary School Record

Important admission factors:
Extracurricular Activities
Standardized Test Scores

Considered:
Alumni Relation
Class Rank
Geographical Residence
Interview
Minority Status
Talent/Ability
Volunteer Work
Work Experience

is that what upenn really looks for?
class rank is "Considered???!!"
i.e., this collegeboard info is not just a BS list of stuff?

(by the way, if anyone knows, do u think Wharton of upenn would put class rank in the "considered" category?)

My guess is they get so many applicants from schools which do not rank that they moved it down the list. Please note, though, that secondary school record is very important.

Yeah, and rank is somtimes BS because some schools use unweighted GPA's, so people with easy courses get higher ranks.
