Like many of you, I am anxiously waiting for my SAT scores. To calm my self down, I have been doing many things in the past few hours to ease my mind, including calling CB several times asking random questions. In my last call, I just happened to ask whether CollegeBoard needed to do any special calculations on our new scores, since this is the first time the test has been offered. Much to my surprise, the person I spoke with confirmed something. She said that since this is the first time the test has been offered, CB does not have a definitive score conversion table yet. So when our scores are released tomorrow morning, they will not be numerical scores, but rather ranges covering 50 points, e.g. 2200-2250. Not surprisingly I was very disturbed by the news, and badgered her about what will be done to rectify this. She claimed that given time, a definitive chart may be worked out and our scores will then be given. But she also says that CB needs more samples to convert the scores, so our scores will remain as ranges until a few more administrations are given.

I really wished she was pulling my leg. But I just saw my score and lo and behold! it was a freaking range. Another person found out the same thing. Aaarghhhh! they better give us exact scores soon, and not wait until after like the October test to give it to us.

Nice catch, ffj1010. Also, here's another pretty good clue-

This kind of prank was really well-done once, back in June 04. The people who did it (was athlon one of them?) made fake screenshots of their score pages and everything and convinced all of us that scores had been up for 10 minutes and then been taken down. It was actually really clever- problem is now it's been copied so many times that it's obvious that it's a joke."

Actually after I made the post with the link I noticed your post and realized that what I had done was not original after all, lol...
But I didn't see your post before I tried to make the photochop. Notice the time in the lower right corner of the screencap.
