Colleges and AP Credit

I'm currently in limbo between two colleges, Allegheny College and Utah State University. If everything goes will I will have 50+ Credit Hours by the time I graduate but I learned that Allegheny has a cap of 20 credit hours while USU does not. I'm stumped. I love Allegheny but I want all my hard work to be rewarded. What should I do? Has anyone else encountered this same problem?

No help from anyone?

20 is still a semester ahead. and if you want to continue pushing yourself, you can get even more ahead. Is the cap cumulative for both college credit and ap credit? some schools might have different rules for transfer and ap credit. But, if you retake some of the classes you already took, it would (hopefully) be easier the second time around.

and if you love Allegheny so much, why do you want to get out of there so fast!

I think my original post was a little confusing.
The 50+ credit hours is from AP Test alone and that Allegheny has a 20 credit cap while USU does not. I was wondering if anyone else has made a decision to go to a college where their AP Credit was limited and how that decision affected them academically.

I don't think that you need to think of all of you hard work going for naught if you attend Allegheny. You will have learned the information and it is possible that you will be able to skip intro classes even if you are not granted all the credits that you want. This will allow you to explore a lot of different areas. Unless you really need to finish college in 3 years, what is the rush? Take your 20 credits and be glad of them.

You will have a pretty different experience at each school. A better question might be to decide which school you think would be better for you and go from there. It is not unusual for private schools to cap AP credits. Some of the top schools don't accept them at all!

Thanks for the insight, helped out alot.
