Yes, that was in all caps...there are so many posts here, it's hard to grab anyone's attention!
Anyway, I would love to do something in advertising, or a college that offers PR w/ a minor in advertising. Less of the actual process of drawing the ads (graphic design), but more of the concept of the process.

. . . . . . . Any ideas? Thus far, I am very interested in: . . . . . . .

✔ USC's Annenberg School (PR, minor in advertising)
✔ Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse
✔ Pepperdine's Seaver College (Advertising)
✔ Southern Methodist University's Meadows (a myriad of advertising options)

Does anyone have any ideas?
I would appreciate any input!

Advertising is a very general term. If you’re interested in being conceptual but not a graphic designer, you must mean writing or producing? The conceptualizing process is a joint effort by both an art director and writer and/or the entire creative team. Your best training for conceptual thinking is to not minor in advertising, but rather expand your exposure to ideas, both cultural, historical and philosophical.

The ad biz has changed a lot over the last ten years and if you want to be innovative you might want to learn more about social marketing and SEO, which you can do on your own. Get a summer internship to learn about the business first hand, but don’t limit yourself to purely communication classes.
