Colleges in General DC Area?

<p>I'm really interested in schools in and around DC...the only problem is I'm planning on majoring in criminal justice and really want to minor in Arabic. The only school in the area that I've seen so far that offers both is UMD and I don't want that to be my only option. I'm looking at VSU as well, but does anyone know of other schools within like two hours of DC that offer CJ AND Arabic?? Or even Russian maybe?? Really looking at Arabic though...</p>

<p>I'm not completely limiting myself to the DC area, so if you know of any other schools, I'd really like to get out to the east coast. Thanks!</p>

<p>Virginia State is not worth out of state tuition.</p>

<p>My daughter is majoring in CJ and really like the classes that AU offered. In fact, she ranked her colleges by who had the most interesting CJ classes … AU was on top of her list. Regarding GW, it started near the top until she looked at their CJ classes (they didn’t interest her much) and we went to DC and it didn’t give her the vibe she was looking for. Again, these were based on her interests. </p>

<p>Anyway, she received a tuition waiver at one of the State U’s so she never pursued AU any further but it was her favorite. State U. was #3 on her list so she was happy with the choice.</p>

<p>How far outside DC would be close enough? You could check the Baltimore, MD and Richmond, VA colleges/universities as well.</p>

<p>I’d like to be as close as possible, but if I had to put a limit, I’d say no more than roughly 3 hours tops from DC (aside from a few schools in my home state and one in Georgia).</p>

<p>3 hours from DC by bus, rail, or car includes much of NJ, PA, VA, and WV as well as all of MD and DE. Re-run the search engines and include those states, and see what comes up.</p>
