Colleges in Texas with good music education programs?

<p>I'm in high school and starting to look at colleges. I want to stay in Texas and want to go to a college with an esteemed music education. You guys recommend any? Thanks for the help.</p>

<p>P.S. I'm a percussionist, if that matters. I plan on participating in the concert band, ensembles, marching band and choral groups if the college offers them.</p>

<p>It’s been a number of years, but there are a number of them I can recall from when I was in high school in Texas - TAMU-Commerce, UT-Arlington, UT-Austin, UNT, Baylor, University of Houston, Texas Tech, Stephen F. Austin University all come to mind. (I looked at being a Music Ed. Major in the 80s)</p>
