Music Education in Texas

Hello all you fellow Texans!
I'm a high school junior deep in the middle of my college search and absolutely staggered by the number of options. Thankfully, I've been able to whittle down my preferences over time. I would like a strong school, both academically and musically, in Texas, although I am considering some Okie schools. I definitely would prefer a private, medium sized school with a good reputation. I have visited Baylor, SMU, and TCU and have loved them all. Does anyone have advice on schools that are similar to SMU or Baylor that match what I like?
As far as academics go, here's my academic profile (be aware, I'm a homeschooler so some of it is missing.);)
GPA. 4.0 unweighted, something like a 4.7ish weighted?
AP/Honors/Dual credit: four classes dual credit junior year, 4.0 GPA college transcript
Rank: None! (I guess if I took my dual credit classes, I would definitely be the top 10%)
SAT: 2180 combined (800 Writing, 730 Reading, 650 Math.) Taking it for the third time in June to raise it probably to 2300, better chance of full ride at SMU. No SAT II's.
Going to be (hopefully) National Merit Commended
EC's:
-pianist who practices long hours, student and competitor under RMTA, local piano organization where I compete, perform, test. Outstanding ratings, medals, finalist. Probable scholarship.
-accompany for local elementary school choir free of charge once a week, travel and compete with them
-shadow once a week in classroom under music educator, K-6 cuties
-2.5 year involvement in intensive music ministry of church, (6-7 hrs. a week, handbells, choir, ensembles, solos, praise team, accompany, special services)
-now very intensive volunteer in brand new church, at least 5 hrs. a week (plan service, arrange music, rehearse team, play during services, Power Point, etc.)
-coach a selective Men's Ensemble once a week, fabulous teaching experience
-two years volunteer in nursing home performing once a month in program
-will be founder of Future Music Educators Association chapter
-hours in youth group, church leadership, volunteering, etc., too much to list

Anyways, what do you think of my chances for Baylor, SMU, TCU? Any suggestions on private schools in Texas/Oklahoma that have great music and academics?
Thanks y'all!

Trinity is smaller than the schools you mentioned but it’s supposed to have a very good music program. A homeschoolers with your stats shouldn’t have any problems getting into any of the schools that you’ve mentioned. For any school you consider, check out the music program requirements. Some require you to be a music major accepted into the college to take any music classes.

Hello,

I’m getting a head start on all my school searches and have come to two different schools but can’t find anything saying that one music school is better that the other. I have been looking at UT’s Butler School of Music and really like what is said about it and what it has to offer. I’d like to get some kind of degree in Piano performance. Specifically the piano. I want to really take it as far as I can and make something out of it. Their instructors clearly have the credentials to teach and they have also graduated many students who have gone on and become world known concert musicians. The other school is Texas State at San Marcos School of Music. I really haven’t been able to find a lot about this school other than the general information that they try to sell you one. Does anybody have any thoughts? Everything is pointing towards UT that it is a better School and choice. Please respond with any comments about these schools and how they compare musically. I have seen their academics and where they size up nationally and UT has a whole bunch to offer with a lot of their degrees ranking in the top 10 in the nation.
