I'm a senior looking for good engineering schools in the northeast similar in SAT and GPA requirements to WPI, RPI, Northeastern, and RIT. I'm interested in majoring in computer engineering. Any suggestions?

Between NY and MASS, besides Cornell and MIT, which I think you’re stats are too low for, you have listed the major sources of engineers that come out of private school engineering programs. If you apply to those schools, you should get into most if not all of of them. Is there something about them that you don’t like?

Thanks for the reply.
Well, most of them are very expensive, and I’m not sure how much financial aid I would get from them. My stats are near the top of the SAT & GPA averages for RIT so I think I would get a lot of money from them. But RIT isn’t my top choice. WPI and Northeastern are - those schools are both 50k per year, and my stats aren’t at the top (but still pretty high). Just wondering if you guys knew of any good northeast engineering schools that I haven’t heard of, that are cheaper? Or ones that would give me good financial aid?

Well then let’s expand our definition of northeast. From another post, I see that you are in NH. Definitely apply to the ones that you want. Most schools offer some aid if you qualify.

Case Western is in Cleveland and gives good merit aid.
Canadian schools are cheaper, probably around $35K - Look at Mcgill, Toronto and Waterloo.
SUNY schools are pretty cheap out-of-state: Stony Brook and Buffalo. They cost around $25K.
