Colleges in Towns and Cities?

Hello! I’m a high school junior and I recently visited a couple of colleges, and was wondering if I can find anything similar! Specifically, colleges in the US that are in towns or cities. Not a town like Clemson, where it’s only really a few things surrounding the college. More a town like Athens where there are a ton of unique restaurants and shops and a sizeable population. It can be bigger too! I’m uncertain about joining a sorority, so preferably a school where Greek life isn’t absolutely everything. I also don’t care whether or not there are sports. The town would preferably be pretty artsy, and I’d prefer the climate not to be freezing. I’m not sure what I want to do, but I’m interested in the entertainment industry. Any help? Thanks!

So, city and college town.

Agnes Scott, Spelman/Morehouse, Emory, College of Charleston, Temple, Northeastern, Fordham, DePaul, UPugetSound, Willamette, UNC Charlotte, Rhodes, UHouston, UTDallas, usc, Chapman, Occidental, LMU-LA, are all in cities and many are not cold.
Macalester, UNC Asheville, UVermont are in colder climes but cool cities/towns.

What are your stats? EFC& budget?

If your qualifications are very strong and your budget very big (or you qualify for enough aid), then Vanderbilt is worth a look. UCLA or USC, if you can afford them and get in, might be good for entertainment industry connections. UColorado-Boulder is less selective, with lower sticker prices, and is in an interesting college town (but with colder winter weather).

You really need to put down some stats and possible majors, but Atlanta has a bunch of different schools to choose from that fit your wants.

Ga. St. has a very good film department that is right in the middle of the GA TV/Film industry.

Tulane!

In order to give any meaningful suggestions we need to know your academic stats and what you can afford annually. It would also be helpful to know your state of residence.

I was going to say that the OP pretty much just described Tulane. In addition, for an undecided student, it provides an extremely flexible curriculum that encourages exploration. And from an entertainment industry perspective, there are multiple crews filming for TV and movies in New Orleans every day. http://www.filmneworleans.org/
