Colleges like Vassar

Fordham Lincoln center should say. My son goes to Vassar but his best friend goes to Drew studying choral. Fordham Lincoln center is small with an artsy vib. Drew also has a strong theater program the NJ Shakespeare company is based there. When I think of Vassar i think theater , theater nerd. Both are unpretentious . Colgate because it’s ranking, acceptance rate and size is similar to Vassar but complete different culture

I did not think of it myself, but I would agree that Fordham - Lincoln Center is worth a look. It has about 2,000 undergraduates and the campus does have an artsier vibe as it houses Fordham’s theater and dance programs. Fordham is very strong in philosophy. The school’s large core curriculum may be a problem for you though.

In addition to the other suggestions above, perhaps Bates is worth looking into.

And agree that Colgate has a very preppy vibe and may not be the best fit.
