If you have been told that a college/university is definitely NOT going on the waitlist, as of your posting date, please list it here. The list, of course, may change over time, but I think it's important to see how fluid this information is.

Yes ^^, and sorry about that preposition mistake. It should be “Colleges NOT going to their waitlist this year”

I just figured if colleges aren’t on one list (the hopeful one), they might be on another (this dreaded one)! That way, somehow students could figure out what’s happening.

Is Columbia that over enrolled that they already know that? With Princeton and Yale going to waitlist I think all other ivies won’t know until they see those numbers and what happens at Harvard and Stanford.

^Well, that is just the Columbia School of Engineering and Applied Science - Columbia College is indeed going to their waitlist, as is evident if one ventures over to the Columbia board. However, I got the information about Columbia SEAS from my very reliable, well-connected college counselor - he said that the preliminary counts show that SEAS had an extremely high yield this year; therefore, (barring extreme circumstances), no waitlist action for SEAS.

"Thank you for your email and your continued interest in Washington University in St. Louis.

While it has been our hope to use the wait list, our current enrollment numbers indicate that it is unlikely we will be able to use the wait list this year. However we will be continually evaluating the situation in the coming days. We will notify you soon officially once a decision has been reached. We understand this is not the response you were hoping for and we sincerely thank you for your interest in Washington U. In any case, please let us know if we can be of any help to you in the future.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you again for your patience and your interest in Washington U."
