I feel like the title is pretty self-explanatory. What colleges are about as hard to get into as the University of Michigan?
USC, Boston College?
However, beyond the evident standardized scoring similarities, other substantial selection criteria may vary, and the in-state/out-of-state differential at UM would need to be considered.

University of Michigan is at 29% acceptance on this. Similar schools include: Boston, Colgate, Northeastern, Skidmore, and Wellesley.
There are so many variables though and no one wants to separate out the baskets of applicants with vastly different admit rates. My point is that the 29% acceptance rate has dozens of caveats.
Yep, lots of caveats when trying to compare selectivity rates.
With UM- Ann Arbor, you looking at a state flagship university that’s very popular with OOS students. The in-state acceptance rate is 42.4%, while the OOS acceptance rate is 24.5%. The overall 29% can be a bit misleading, especially if you’re an in-state student.
