Colleges that don't require letters of recommendation?

I'm going to apply to the University of Washington, and was a bit surprised to discover that they don't require letters of recommendation.

I've only been looking into the admission's policies at 7-10 schools seriously and all but the UW require LoR's. My question is: are there many other schools that don't require letters of recommendation? If so, which schools are they?

(I'm not asking this because I'm afraid of the possibility of having weak LoR's. ;) I'm just curious now.)

Thanks!

Indiana does not

none of the UC's require them.

Almost all public universities do not require them -- one of the reasons is to spare the state's high school teachers from having to do recs for the huge number of their college bound students who invariably apply to the state's public universities as one of their choices. Higher ranked privates generally do. Other privates are split on the issue.

Thanks drusba. Perhaps I've not noticed this tendency because I'm only applying to 1 state school. Thanks again.
