Hey guys, currently my GPA is lackluster (think <3.5), while my SAT (2300+) and subject tests (750+) are pretty good. My EC's are pretty standard, (a few varsity sports, volunteering etc.) and I don't have any hooks. Right now my first choice is WUSTL, as it seems to have a history of accepting some students with lower GPAs, and I loved my visit there. Can you guys suggest any other colleges that seem to favor higher test scores, or at least forgiving towards GPA? Thanks!

Is that your weighted GPA? If not, what is your weighted GPA?

What exactly is your unweighted GPA?

What is your class rank?

USC likes high test scores.

That’s unweighted, 3.43 to be exact >.< School doesn’t rank or give weighted, but last time I checked I think weighted was around 4.

You’re an idiot. All colleges like high test scores.

^
Some don’t care as much.

You could get into UA-Huntsville with a scholarship with those scores and that GPA. (courtesy of mom2collegekids!)

As for your GPA, I think you should still try applying to some other schools of your choice. Anything can happen.

Mine is worse than that and that’s what I’m doing. (though I’m not getting my hopes up about it)

?

So your school won’t put a weighted GPA on your transcript? You should ask if they will hand-write a weighted GPA onto your transcript.

Yes, UAH would give you a good scholarship.

If you can get your weighted GPA written on your transcript then Alabama would give you free tuition. It’s ok if the GC just writes it on your transcript…that’s fine.

Are you a NMSF?
