Colleges that offer significant merit aid?

I don’t really qualify for need based aid, but my dad isn’t going to pay very much for my college. Please help!! Also I’m in the Southeast so somewhere around here would be nice.
GPA: 3.8
ACT: 31
SAT EBWR+Math: 1420
Honors: physics, chemistry, American lit, English lit
Well involved in volunteer work and extracurriculars
Considering schools like Tulane, University of Houston, and Mississippi state (safety school). Thanks.

Your stats won't get you merit at tulane that would even dent the COA. To get merit, you need to be in the top of the stats pile.

Here is a link to a list of scholarships based on stats : http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/

^ The Yola list is out of date. You need to check each one carefully. Commuting to your state school usually becomes the most affordable option.

How much will your parents pay each year?

@mom2collegekids OP had another thread already. OP’s father isn’t giving an exact budget, but sibling went to community college.
