Hello! I am a high school junior with a 3.8 gpa and 2000 on the SAT. I want to become a teacher and am looking to build my college list. I am open to any state in the US. Any suggestions?
Thank you!:)

Just about every college and university in the country offers an education major. That’s not a place to begin narrowing your search. :)

Try the SUNYs- they are known for education. Just remember that any OOS school will get you licensed in a state other than your own. You will have to apply for your state license.

Many universties no longer off an undergraduate major in “education”. You major in the arts and sciences and take a series of education courses that will lead to certification.

In which state (and/ or states) would hope to settle and teach? What is your home state? This will better help people to suggest schools in those locations. Generally speaking it is a good idea to attend school and gain certification first in the state where you hope to teach upon graduating.

There is an education majors forum here on CC : [Education Majors - College Confidential](Education Majors - College Confidential Forums)
