I’ve gathered that prestige matters to the utmost point when considering Investment banking after College. My question to everyone is, what schools, including Ivies, are targeted by IB companies or receive considerable examination from them. If I don’t go to Harvard or any other Ivy, what are the chances of landing something?
Harvard doesn’t have business for undergrad, only Penn and Cornell. Dartmouth has a concentration. You would need to major in Economics most likely. I know a kid at Bain that majored in African-American relations.
What do you consider Investment Banking? Do you mean consulting, asset management as well?
You dont need a business degree for IB, you could get a degree in literature, and IBers would not care. You just need to go to a school that has good ib recruiting. Pretty much all the ivies except brown and cornell, and all the top tier schools do.
@BatesParents2019 I know that Harvard doesn’t have a business undergrad. However, many undergrads go into IB right after they complete their degree. You don’t have to major in business to work in IB
Wall Street doesn’t exist anymore. I am not being obtuse I am just stating a fact.
What exactly do you want to do and where?
