Currently a high school senior who went on a student exchange so I didn’t have the opportunity to apply to colleges during the normal fall admissions period. What colleges are open to spring admissions on the East or West coast? I’m thinking of becoming a computer science major.
Maybe you should take a gap year to work or volunteer, and apply normally in the fall?
My parents want me to start next school year and I don’t really want to take a gap year either
Some less selective colleges (and open admission colleges like community colleges) are still open for applications to the fall semester.
Rolling colleges (for example, St. Andrews in Scotland) are still accepting apps. Additionally, after May 1 a list of colleges that have not filled all their spots is released.

Since spring admits get lousy aid, are your parents prepared to pay all costs?
Yes they are
People do apply to college from abroad since it is all by computer – but I guess that ship has sailed.
Keep in mind that starting in the spring is also difficult socially as most freshman settle in and develop friendships during the fall.
I hope I’m not too late since it seems like you didn’t get an actual answer. Many relatively selective colleges have spring admission deadlines. Here are a few
RPI, Chapman university, University of Rochester, Brandeis University, Boston College and some of the UC’s in California and their state schools. Good luck
The UC’s in California that offer Spring admission still requires the applicant to apply for Fall such as UCB so not an option.
