Yes, I know there is already a thread about this. But that thread lists colleges that give any kind of aid to Intl students: like $20,000 in aid and you'll have to pay the remaining cost.

What I am asking for is a list of colleges which offers full demonstrated need for Intl students. They need not be 'need-blind'.

Also, I'll appreciate it if you can also add an average SAT score (Intl student's) to which the colleges normally give aid to.

This list will be helpful for thousands of CC members not just me.

When you say aid, do you also mean merit scholarships?

If you mean pure aids, here is the list(that guarantees full need once accepted):
Need Blind:

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
MIT
Amherst
Dartmouth
Pomona(only if you are in the USA and have completed high school in the US)

Need Aware:
Bowdoin College
Vassar College
Washington and Lee
University of Richmond
Brown University
Northwestern University
Harverford College
Carleton College
Davidson college(very rare though)
Colorado College
Occidental College
Caltech
U of Notre Dame
Stanford University
U Penn
Etc etc…

By the way…it would be better if you do a basic research about scholarship, not just ask “what schools give full need” without even trying to look at the other posts.

If you are applying for schools that give full FA(not including merit scholarship), you really need to have excellent stats. If not, you will have to apply for schools that give merit scholarships based on test scores and GPA.

“Meets need” does not mean that these colleges meet your personal needs for yearly expenses of tuition, housing an meals, that would make too much sense.

No, your “needs” are determined by the university’s financial aid office and what THEY think your need is.

They may just fund tuition, not housing and food. Some universities, in popular areas, wont fund housing and these areas may have incredibly expensive real estate such that the tuition would be nothing compared to housing in the area (NY and California).

They may fund ½ tuition and ½ room and board.

They assume you will get loans or use personal funds to procure your expenses for housing and meals.

It all depends on which universities you have applied to, which is why you have to go to each individual website and see what and how they fund you.

Each case is different in international students and there is no set rules, that is why you cannot have a list of X U will offer 40K and you pay $20K. Many international students have to pay full freight to attend US schools.

If you are the 17 year girl who won Nobel Peace price 2014, yeah, you will get full ride tuition plus stipend and traveling cost from HYP of your choice. But if you are not and your family own a business or real estate, they will give you little, regardless of how low your “income” is.
