My daughter is interested in many things, including (but not limited to) Art, Psychology, Language (Spanish), Art Therapy, International Studies, Studying Abroad.....and warmer weather. She's had it with NJ and wants to head south. Can anyone suggest some good fits for her interests and her geographical longings? How can you learn about the reputation of a schools individual departments (such as an art program) in order to make an informed choice?

I know of one good art school, but I believe it's only for art, Ringling School of the Arts. It's in Florida, so it definetly fits the warm criteria.

NYMIZ, some schools to possibly look at would be University of Florida, Florida State, Elon, College of Charleston, Rhodes, East Carolina and Maryland.

NYMIZ - check out my response to you under Art Majors :)
