Universities offering art education

College Majors Visual Arts and Film Majors

<p>What are some universities that have good arts education programs, preferably in warm-weather locales?</p>

<p>Our friends' D is very artsy and talented but they want her to go somewhere she can get a broad education, not an arts school per se. She has a 3.25 GPA, got 29 on her ACT and also is interested in psychology as another area of study. Location-wise, she would love to be near the ocean but would consider anywhere but the Midwest (desperate to get away).</p>

<p>Grateful for any suggestions -- this isn't an area I've ever looked at for my kids, and a search of CC for 'art education' turned up mostly art schools.</p>
