Colleges with Flagship Match programs

Flagship Match programs are where colleges agree to charge students only what they would have paid had they attended their state public Flagship. Sometimes the details vary a little, or they get called a different name, but that is basically how they work. It seems like these programs are growing more common. I would like to create a list, all in one place, of colleges that are doing this. A link to the site, and any details would be helpful.

I will start:
College of St. Scholastica in Duluth Minnesota. Both 1st year and transfer students pay only the approximate COA of the University of Minnesota (whatever state they come from.)

I will link later, but Oglethorpe in Georgia and Hendrix in Arkansas have programs/scholarships where one pays the flagship rate of their home state.

Beloit College in Wisconsin. Only applies to students from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota. 1st year students must have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 in core classes, and transfer students must have a GPA of 3.0 in college classes. There is some fine print regarding fees, incidentals and possible loans, so may not technically get all the way down to the flagship prices, but close. Beloit is one of the Colleges That Changes Lives (CTCL) schools. Notable programs in Anthro, Geology, and Museum Studies, among others. Merit Scholarships • Admissions • Beloit College

Cornell College in Iowa. A CTCL. Notable for its block plan (1 course at a time, similar to Colorado College.)

They call it their Iowa Promise/Freeway Scholarship and it only applies to Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Kansas. The final price is slightly below flagship for some of the states, slightly above for others, but in any case pretty close.

Wow !! And they didn’t win the football national championship

I think there are many schools that match in state for border states. Example Valdosta State, Georgia southern, W Kentucky, etc.

It’s not a flagship match, but West Virginia residents (and some residents from specified counties in Kentucky) can attend Ohio University at in-state rates.

Ohio University link to applications for WV and KY residents. Per this press release, it’s open regardless of major selected.

Ohio residents can attend West Virginia University at in-state prices, but only in selected majors.
