Colleges with good economics programs that are within my league?

UW GPA: 3.5
Weighted GPA: 3.8
SAT Math: 690
SAT CR: 630
SAT writing: 630
total: 1940
i'm pretty confident in my ec's and essay writing skills.

which colleges have programs well known for economics and/or business that i could possibly get into based on my grades? i live in indiana but i already have IU on my list. please name colleges outside of indiana that are pretty well known in the economics department (among people and job recruiters)

uiuc, boston u, bentley, fordham, usc, boston college, ut austin

is uiuc & boston university good for economics & business?
i’m not sure if i’d have a great chance at UT austin since they only admitted 8% of applicants from out of state. but i’ll definitely apply there.

thanks

Is money a factor?

Trinity College in Hartford, Ct

no cost isn’t an issue

Don’t worry about the strength of the economics department. It doesn’t matter that much for undergrad, and you sound like you’re more interested in business anyways (since you mention recruiters rather than grad school). I made that mistake and applied to a couple schools that I wouldn’t have in retrospect. Focus on recruitment instead.

Look at Bentley, Boston College, Colgate, Lehigh, Northeastern, NYU, Trinity, and Villanova. If you can afford OOS publics, make sure to check out Michigan and UIUC.

which of those colleges do you think i have a good shot at with my grades?

Holy Cross is 40 miles west of Boston and comparable to many of the aforementioned schools.

Once again, it’s highly unlikely anyone with a 3.5 gpa and is from OOS is going to get into Michigan.

yeah i was looking more at villanova
