On Wisconsin. Without a doubt.

University of Kentucky. Period.

USC has been stuck in my head for weeks

'Ray Bucknell

'Ray for the Orange and the Blue

Bucknell

The best fight song, ever, is from THE University of Michigan: Hail to the victors!

Notre Dame, hands down. And I don’t even go there.

“tribute to troy”, while not exactly the official fight song of usc, is probably the best piece of college music i have ever heard

Fight On is horrible. Never say that is a good fight song again, mark. The Trojan band is lackluster as well. Maybe they ought to get some Trojan helmets instead of wearing Spartan helmets.

I can’t stand Michigan, but I have to agree it is probably the best fight song.

umm no. if the topic was “schools with most overplayed fight songs” ND and USC would win hands down.

I’m a major (though biased) fan of Mighty Oregon. I find it much better than the trash produced by the band of the University of “Securing” Championships.

UGA. Glory Glory to old Georgia! Bonus points for the Bulldawg cheer (Woof woof woof!) and to hell with Tech! :-)

Another vote for “On Wisconsin” – hands down.

LOL @ LakeWashington thinking Columbia owns NY.

Down, down the field goes
old Syracuse,
Just see those backs hit the line
and go thro’
Down, down the field they go
marching, Fighting for the Orange
staunch and true.
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Vict’ry’s in sight for old Syracuse,
Each loyal son knows she
ne’er more will lose,
For We’ll fight, yes. we’ll fight,
and with all our might
For the glory of Syracuse.

That’s who owns NY!!!^

A Northern Illinois professor wrote a book on college fight songs, and he ranked them and put Notre Dame at the top: [Irish fight song deemed better than M’s ‘Victors’ | The Michigan Daily](http://www.michigandaily.com/content/irish-fight-song-deemed-better-ms-victors)

And if you think it’s regional bias, a Jacksonville writer ranked Notre Dame’s Victory March as the best too: [Times-Union’s top 10 college football fight songs | Jacksonville.com](http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/101106/col_5038410.shtml)

USC has the most annoying, catchy fight song ever.

“E to the U, dU dX, E to the X, dX
Cosine! Secant! Tangent! Sine!
3-point-1-4-1-5-9!
Integral! Radical! µ, DV
Slipstick! Slide rule! M.I.T.!”

^is that sung to the tune “ramblin wreck”, or is it just spoken?

Notre Dame and Michigan are probably the 2 most recognizable, although I dislike both schools

For as often as people think they play the same stuff, what the USC trojan marching band plays during football games is determined entirely by what happens in the game.

For example “fight on” is only played after a USC score (a short/abridged version only after a USC first down), “tribute to troy” is only played when the USC defense holds the opponent to a short gain. So if they get played a lot it’s because the team is playing well. They have a different song for almost any situation in the game, good or bad.

Plus during timeouts they play band versions of pop/rock music.

NOTRE DAME…of course
