I'm looking for colleges with extremely prestigious History programs. I've heard Yale offers the best History education in the country, but what are some others?

Pretty much all good (not extremely science focused) schools will have good history programs. It's a very popular major. It also depends largely on what area of history you wish to go into, "history" is so broad...however, at this point, I doubt you know exactly what aspect of history you wish to go in to, which is why for such a common major, strength of program is really not what should be your primary qualification.

Here at Tufts we have a great undergraduate program, I love it, and plan on going to graduate school in History, having been inspired to do so here. That being said, the poster above me is correct, any top school that is not engineering/sciences based will have a strong history program for the most part, it's only once you look towards graduate school where there are big differences.
