Are there other schools out that offer the same type of block schedule as Colorado?

I am helping a junior who is very interested in this school because of the schedule but is VERY relunctant to move from the East Coast to Colorado.

Cornell College offers a similar block plan but it is in Iowa. I believe they are the only schools that offer a “one class at a time” schedule.

Best known are Colorado College and Cornell College (in Iowa, not to be confused with Cornell University in New York). But I believe there are a few others. Try:

University of Montana Western (may be the only US public school with block plan)

Tusculum College (in Tennessee, may be the only eastern US school with block plan)

Quest College (new private college in British Columbia, probably the only Canadian school with block plan)

While there’s a very limited number of schools that provide the same full-on one-class-at-a-time scheduling, there are some schools that have trimesters or quarters rather than semesters, so you’d still be taking fewer classes for a shorter amount of time.

Doesn’t evergreen state college have a block plan?

There are a few other block plans as Corbett says. But ColoColl is one of the top liberal arts schools in the U.S. and the others are pretty invisible. They’re really like comparing apples and oranges.

Yea, Colorado College is the best school by far with the block schedule. Plus their hockey team is amazing!

Thank you all!

Yes, we agree that Colorado College is tops – aside from location distance from family, the fact it IS so good is why she needs to consider other schools. She is a good student, but certainly Colorado will be a low reach/high match.
