I am a prospective transfer student on a pre med track. I am considering transferring next year to CU or CSU from a comprably sized, and ranked university with 31 university credits, and 12 credits from my AP exams in high school. When I apply I will likely have around 18 college credits from my current university with around a 3.6 GPA. My HS stats were a 3.3 with a 31 ACT. My parents would pay for either (well not all of CU), and I have a few friends who already go to CU. What are the vibes like at both schools? I'm an avid skier/hiker/outdoor enthusiast and my current school doesn't have much to offer in that department. Also just not sure if its a good fit for me in terms of the people here, but then again its a little early to know forsure. Thoughts/comments/insights?

Knowing why you want to transfer from your present college would help us to to give more personal advice on the pros and cons of each- unless it’s purely on location/ outdoor activities?

Well the school I’m at now is really fratty, you have to cab everywhere, kind of in a sketchy area. I really miss skiing and hiking. Alot of it is from a social/rec standpoint. More of a “I don’t know if this school is for me” type of thing. Also looking for a more laid back type of student body.
