Columbia 3/2 Combined Engineering program question

Hey does anyone know if I have to major in a science during the three years at my liberal arts school for my BA degree before I transfer into columbia? Or could I major in something like economics while still taking the required courses before I make the switch?

I'm a junior in high school thinking about doing this program because I know I'd have trouble getting into the actual Columbia undergrad program right now with my grades. If anyone could answer my question or provide some more insight into this program (like if you know anyone currently in 3/2 or you're in it) that would also be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You can pretty much major in whatever you want, as long as you take the prereqs for the engineering major your interested in studying at Columbia. Actually, I know someone who majored in econ at his old school and is now doing ee at Columbia.

Sweet! thanks so much… i’m planning to go into business after it and now i think it can work out
