Columbia App Question/Curiosity

In the transfer application part 1, one of the questions asks if a student has "conferred" with a Columbia rep about the admissions process. This may sound a bit nit picky, I figured part 1 is not put under true scrutiny and just provides a background, but is it considered too nonchalant to say no? I mean, I guess contacting an admissions adviser shows true dedication and interest which might be their reasoning?

Also, in the area where one lists their Current University it requires the input of entrance and left (or scheduled graduation)...do I put Feb 2011 (I am not completing my spring semester) or what would have been my graduation date if I stayed (May 2012)?

A. You’ve already submitted you app, so you’re doing your soul/sanity no favors stressing over this.

B. Just like nearly everyone else here, I’m no adcom, but I would guess that it matters SO little.

I haven’t submitted my application yet…

cynthia make an educated guess on what makes the most sense for you.

based on your answers here - i think you know what to write.

Yeah, sorry, as I’m sure you can all relate it all becomes so stressful and I just stress over every little detail. Probably an annoying starter question for a thread. =/

I still don’t know about my second question, as to whether they mean when I left or my intended leave, I thought they might be curious as to how long my degree program was, especially as I am an international student.

put down when you would end (so the May 2012 date).

Thanks for that =]
