I've applied to Chapman, CalArts, CSU Long Beach, CSU Los Angeles, San Diego State, San Francisco State, and Loyola Marymount.

But - I still think I need some backups. I live in the Bay Area and just got accepted into San Francisco State and waiting for the others; however, I don't want to stay up here in Northern California and instead wish to attend college in Southern California.

Thus, I found - Columbia College Hollywood offering a BFA in Cinema. It looks like a good program with also a description that 94% of their graduates are successful in the film industry before/after graduation...

It seems too good though... Why are a a lot people not mentioning this school or talking about it?

Columbia College Hollywood’s sister program in Chicago has a dynamic film program and just built a brand new state of the art facility. My DD, a theatre major, has worked on a number of student films and a couple of the ones I’ve seen could be in major film festivals. I can’t speak to the Hollywood branch, but I know CC Chicago sends its Acting majors out to CC Hollywood for a two-week industry intensive, so I have to assume there are connections to the industry there. If you don’t mind traveling, I’d apply there…and they have rolling admissions.

I went to Columbia College Hollywood and they are a “trade” school and not accredited. They lie to you and steal your money. Seriously. Email me for any questions.

does anyone here have any idea about the Los Angeles Film School Associates of SCIENCE IN RECORDING ARTS DEGREE PROGRAM?? as in how it is? i tried finding reviews and post on this school but cudnt find it. Also, could anyone suggest a school for film sound. I wanna get into film sound.
