any more thoughts on this thread? im trying to figure everything out in the next few days and the advice has been great so far, thanks

hey clinton845, is this adam from umiami? hey man, I was the other GT at Umiami this year. Despite the GT, I also applied for transfer to other colleges and got into a bunch of them.

I was in the same situation as you, not knowing whether to stay with ILR. But I finally decided to take Cornell ILR over UPenn, UF, UVA, and Brown. For a lot of reasons, I'm taking Cornell over all of those schools. Now admittedly, if I had gotten into Harvard transfer (which I was rejected again), I would've gone there instead. But since this is Cornell vs Upenn/Brown, I'd take Cornell. In your case, I'd do the same thing with Cornell vs Columbia, especially with your career interests.

hope to see you there man. haha, good thing we got some sun down in miami before headin up

waver, what makes you think that ILR is better for you than Penn or Brown?

columbia it is -

I'm sure there'll be some extra spots open in the field you want, best of luck to ya!

ha i hope so. thanks for the advice gomestar - good luck up there

I chose ucla over cornell ilr, amherst college, and berkeley

well, now it makes sense why you go around calling everyone a prestige whore.......b.c you chose the least prestigious school of your available options

it wasnt the least one....i had usc, ucsd, ucsb, wisconsin (full ride).

i didnt get a full ride at neither ucla, berk nor cornell. But yes, i chose comfort over prestige, therefore, i am not a prestige whore :p; I dont need a school to tell me how talented i am :).

oh, btw, i had application fee waivers, and thats why i applied to alot of schools lol...so i didnt pay a dime except for amherst and usc.

what major at UCLA?
