Columbia Decisions...

A lady at the admissions office just told me that we would "probably" receive our decision this Friday by e-mail. Good luck to all, and post your decision here when you get it.

WHAT - I'm nervous

Will all decisions be available online or will it be on some sort of rolling basis?

I assume we'll all hear simultaneously, as she had no idea who I was and still said what she said.

What?
Can you please give more details . . . Thanks!
(Friday?!)

All the details I have are that a random admissions lady said I'll "probably" receive an email Friday w/ the decision. Based on numerous factors of error, I guess there's an 80% chance we'll ACTUALLY hear then. Good luck to everyone. I'm personally a nervous wreck, and can't think of anything but this decision.

I'm reviving this thread so the decisions may be posted when the time comes.

I called today to try to get a better idea but the guy I talked to seemed adament about them being released the second week of May. That being said, I'm still praying for decisions to be out tomorrow!

My boyfriend got an email saying he'd definitely hear by email on May 11th! But he's international transfer so maybe that's different. Look forward to seeing who got in! Good luck! :)

wow, that would be so nice to hear tomorrow

blueangel, do you go to lehigh?

Yeh I do! why?

haha, so do i!

Haha that's funny! And you're transferring to Columbia?

if i get in, lol

What are your stats (wanna compare with my bf's if thats ok! ;) ) And how come u wanna transfer?

haha, sure.

my stats aren't too great, 1370 SATs, my high school didn't rank but i know i was in the top 10%, my high school GPA was a 3.8, my college GPA is a 3.85 in CAS

lehigh isnt the right place for me, i want a poly sci major and at lehigh it is not very strong, something i didnt know until i got here. i also went to a catholic school, and am used to people being very homogenous. i wanted to experience more diversity of thought, and at lehigh thats pretty nonexistant. id like to transfer to a place that has different people and opinions, to expand my own ideas and challenge myself in ways that lehigh cannot offer. my dad has always told me that most of what you learn in college is outside the classroom. i know its corny, but i envisioned talking about the world and thinking about ways to make it better, not talking about morning cocktails at fiji. i didnt find the right place for me the first time around, so i hope to get a second chance.

i know that columbia is a huge reach, but i figure my chances go up once i apply!

"i know that columbia is a huge reach, but i figure my chances go up once i apply!"

Right On!!!

Oh wow, dailyshowfan, that sounds a lot like my bf (u know, we probably know all know each other. lehigh isnt that big). He doesn't like the way that people stick to their groups. So even though there's some diversity, not everyone can experience it! And he def. wanted to talk about the world and learn new things, not be lectured at about the same stuff he learnt in hs. So good luck to both of u! It's a reach for people with perfect stats, I guess it comes down to the essays and stuff. And yes, Columbia is #1 for poli sci, good choice 2nd time round! My sister did poli sci at Barnard and took classes at columbia.

Dailyshow, is your roomate adam levy, because if it is this is Dan from the u of c...

haha, wow, thanks guys! and phoniex, sorry im a girl
