<p>Called em yesterday, the guy told me that they are going to send "emails" out on the 15th.</p>
<p>Emails on the same day as mails (I'm not sure y u put " " around emails, does that suppose to have some hidden meaning?), that is late compare to last yr. But at any rate, let's check our inbox on thurs just making sure.</p>
<p>nancy, I put "x" there cuz on their site, it says they are going to notify ppl by mail.</p>
<p>I called and I said when we will find out. She said the 15th. I said then, is this by mail or email. She paused, by mail. I said, do we get an email, she said yes. I said is it possible to hear this week, and there was like a 5 second pause. And then she was like, you will hear on the 15th. Something leads me to believe that it will be posted tomorrow night like last year.</p>
<p>For freshman admissions last year they used emails. Did they use emails for transfer admissions last year?</p>
<p>well, transfers who applied last yr all got their decisions via email on 5/10 after 5pm. So hopefully it'd be the same for us too.

<p>i think emails are the best, because when you get a letter in the mail you can tell by looking at it, before opening it, whereas emails make you more anxious and for some people, they dont want to open it...so we shall all wait, just remeber at least we are all in college and not straving out there on the street...columbia is only in our minds!</p>
<p>This may be kinda old news, but judging from dartmouth's yield rate for class of 2011, 53%, similar #s could be expected from CU. And this is definitely not good for us transfers...</p>
<p>i just called columbia and the guy said "you will be recieving emails after 5 to check your admissions status"...so i guess you guys were right!...good luck to everyone...may God be with you all!</p>

<p>i welcome rejection..i can see it now...oh well at least we tried...ten years from now we will never wonder if we could have gotten into columbia or not, cuz we tried and werent accepted..</p>
<p>yeah I tried so hard too and I just started to realize how much stress I've put myself under in the last two years, first with MIT as a frosh, then with CMU as a transfer, and now waiting for six more rejections, but I still don't regret any of all this, I think having a dream, being ambitious and wanting something special have changed me and made be a better person, and yeah, 10 years from now we won't even bother to think about that, cuz that's when we will realize that life has much more than going to MIT, not that MIT is no big deal, it's still my dream school, BUT I DIDN'T GET IN, and i'm really halfway through to killing myself just because of that, and don't want to live one more day thinking about how my life is terrible just because I didn't have the education I wanted to have</p>
