At least Colubmia seems to have it's act together. Apparently, we'll be notified by email on the afternoon of May 10th of our decision. Letters will follow.

nice, where did you hear this from?

Oh wow, but, I'm not ready for the rejections to start pouring in yet!

heard it from the admissions office; and yeah, i can't wait for rejections either

I'm so anxious!

Thanks for the heads up, all!

bump.......

wow.... that's in 24 hours.. gd luck guys

More like 48 Hours :)

If you guys don't mind my asking, where are you transferring from? Do you have to already be in an ivy to transfer to another one, or is it possible to transfer from a public university to a school like columbia?

Not like it would really help in speculating, but I'm curious whether anyone knows the approximate number of Applicants and number of spots? What percent acceptance rate are we looking at?

from collegeboard.com:

Transfer Students

* Total number of transfer students who applied: 1,073
* Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 95

is this the official word, b/c i am not expectin a decision on wed night, did anyone else call to confirm that????

Bear in mind those stats are for CC. For SEAS its like this:

Transfer Students

* Total number of transfer students who applied: 106
* Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 27

In other words, transfer admission to Columbia in general is just as hard as regular admission. It's a little easier to transfer to SEAS than regular admission.

24 hours-ish, me thynketh?

i'm still skeptical about the whole may 10 thing. it could be right, but i can't find it anywhere.

call. ive called twice, and received the same answer.

Has anyone heard from Claremont McKenna regarding transfers. Although they say that you should hear by the 15th I was just curious.

This is going to be the longest 24 hours of my life. NERVOUS. How many here are SEAS and how many are the College?

I applied to SEAS.

college. i'm going to get rejected.

College. was waitlisted last year; one can only hope...
