Columbia ED Applicants

how are these 4 days ever going to pass…

This is crazy! I’m almost disappointed my school got snowed out tomorrow because that’s just more time to think about it…

Ikr, I can’t stop obsessing over the past ED results threads. I just want to be rejected already so I can move on with my life in peace…:/

@mthompson - Lucky! I’d still rather be snowed out than in school. Think of all that extra sleep ;)

does anyone know if the decisions come out exactly as 5 EST (2 PST) or is it usually a bit later than that… the email say after 5 pm EST

Idk, it depends. I’ve heard of decisions that came right on the dot, and some that came as late as half an hour after. Guess we’ll have to wait and see :P

thursday is gonna be the longest day of my life… especially if the decision doesn’t come out right on the dot

^ Haha, same. I’ll just keep refreshing…and refreshing…and refreshing…

sorry guys, I got the confirmation that the decisions are still out on the thursday. Apologies for the false info.

Schools in my area are also out today for snow! This now the fourth day of the weekend for us since Friday was out for snow as well…

Personally, I’m concerning myself with other things. For example, I have All-Region auditions tomorrow that I’m kinda freaking out about…

GUYS GUYS GUYS.

You should all go post on my pledge thread. :D

@Areo523 This might be a little forward, but can I have your life? :stuck_out_tongue: We’ve had a grand total of 1 inch of snow so far. Not exactly snow day materal =.= Oh, good luck with those auditions! What are they for? (Sorry if that’s a noob question…)

** 3 days and counting **

@WhyAmIOnThisSite: There are no noob questions! All-Region is an audition process for any musician (choir, band, orchestra) on a high school level. Basically you audition in a room with other students of your instrument from other schools around your “region” (anywhere from 5-10 schools). You are then ranked against others and those that place high enough are placed in “Region Bands.” There are 3 different bands that you can be placed in. Anyone that makes the top band advances to All-Area, where the process starts all over again. Same thing, but the highest ranks advance to All-State. Those who make All-State perform with their respective All-State bands at a huge musical convention held by the state. It’s a stressful and tiring process that’s ultimately an incredible experience. :D

@areo523 DUDEEEE are you from NJ? I’m not doing regions this year, but i did it a few years ago, DO I KNOW U??! That would be so cool:D:D oh and what do you play?

o.O I did my all-region auditions awhile back…
Got in!

@icefairy, I’m from NJ! What part are you from?

@Areo523 - Oooh, sounds complicated but totally worth it! I was in choir for a few years, but I live in Michigan and we’ve never gone to All-Regions. D: Our school goes to Festival every March instead…it’s completely different, though. XD Anyway, good luck!!

OFFICIALLY UNDER THE 3 DAY MARK.

71 hours, 2 minutes. :astonished::astonished:

does anybody know, from last year’s class for example, how many from the 3000-something early decision applicants get accepted? like the percentage? I just found the regular decision one…

@alexbcn it’s about 20%

@satman1111 I’m from central jersey, and i play violin :smiley: , you?

wait i’m from pa and i play violin hi guys
