Academic Decathlon (Team captain 10,11,12) [First time any school in our district has placed 1st at regionals and state, qualified for nationals and placed 6th in the nation, had lots of media coverage since our team really came out of nowhere. I've spent hundreds of hours studying for it]

Teacher Recommendation: From AcDec coach who I have had as a teacher for 3 years, very very close, should be amazing

Will chance back!

pretty good chance

Bump

Anyone ?

I think ur in a good spot academically… my friend got into Columbia and got straight Bs basically. But just keep in mind that there are thousands of equally qualified Columbia applicants as u… so its gonna be a crapshot tbh

@cottonkk Was there anything special about them? Surely there must have been something that made someone see them as more qualified than another

OH YES! I knew u would ask! U see my friend and I (well Im a rising sophmore so lol) both study music at one of the most prestigious music schools in the world (the acceptance rate is actually LOWER than Harvard… ik but yeah)! We also go to the same high school, which FYI is one of the top private schools in the country (well i mean its almost 60k/year to go there so yeah). The school sends about 40-50% of the students to Ivy leagues… and I believe my friend was barely top 25%… maybe it was top 30%?

@cottonkk Ah I see. Well then hopefully my attendance at a relatively insignificant public school will be made up for by my class ranking

Bump, will chance back!

Decent shot. Try to improve math score on ACT. Good luck

Bump!
