Columbia emailed and called my guidance counselor requesting transcripts last week. My counselor said the situation seed urgent, and that they really needed to see them.
What does this mean for my admissions chances? Did anyone else have this happen to them?

Happened to me three times , but not from Columbia. From those three schools that needed them, I got accepted to all three. It might depend on your Senior year Fall grades though, they better meet their expectations or kiss it goodbye.
I have straight B’s because I’ve been focusing on self studying economics and reading in preparation for college. I was already accepted to UC Berkeley, so I wouldn’t be heartbroken if I got denied, but I hope those grades don’t ruin my chances.
