Have any admitted students gotten their financial aid yet? Seems likely that there are delays due to the current circumstances. I’m just very anxious about my ability to attend.
Hi everyone! I’m so happy to have stumbled across this thread!
Did anyone take the GSAE for their early action submission?
The anticipation is killing me!
Any updates to those who applied 3/1? Since it’s rolling, I’m assuming they’ll start sending out results any day now if there are no delays due to COVID
Nothing here yet, hopefully they’ll start rolling those decisions soon. The radio silence is killing me. Any word on when they started rolling out decisions last year?
It started somewhere late this week last year I believe.
Someone mentioned the silence and how it’s killing them. It’s totally killing me too. I have a shot at transferring to GS or UCLA for fully paid tuition and I just have no idea what to do if I get into both schools. GS is my top choice.
To clarify, UCLA would be full tuition paid. Not GS. Don’t want to raise any alarms.
Hello all. Just checked my admissions decision via application portal and was welcomed with an acceptance letter. Just a quick view on my profile:
- Army Veteran (OEF-HOA(Somalia) 2018-2019)
- Current semester GPA: 4.0
- Took the GSAE (unsure of my scores)
I have a question for all others accepted. Under required actions in the student portal, I have a red x with missing credentials. They’re requesting a transcript with this current semester’s grades. So far I’m not worried since I’m maintaining A’s through and through but I’m just curious - can they reverse their decision in the case that one doesn’t do as well as expected or is this simply to determine transfer credit eligibility?
@ApacheR12 Congrats!!! Do you think you were accepted today? When did you first apply?
To answer your questions: current semester grades matter and if you do really horrible (read: drop from A to C), then they may rescind. However, due to COVID-19, I think even your grades do drop you might be able to get a free pass. Transfer credit eligibility is a separate question than admissions. Check their bulletin for more information.
@0x0001 Thank you! I found out the same day I posted my first comment. I received an email saying there was an update on my admissions profile, and when I logged in, I saw a link to my acceptance letter.
Also, thank you for your answer. I’ll probably be in contact with the university in regards to transfer credit eligibility. In terms of grades, this is a fairly easy semester for me, so maintaining A’s isn’t much of an issue, but I still don’t want to risk lowering my current effort (with or without the COVID-19 situation). I think the best course of action for me is to just continue with my current semester as usual.
Congratulations on your acceptance! Was wondering if you got in all your materials by 1st March? Thanks!
3/1 applicants who are still in the dark, any speculation about when we’re going to hear back?
Hi! I applied to GS on February 22 and I still haven’t heard anything yet. Anxiously waiting, that’s for sure.
Honestly have no idea. Hopefully we hear back soon with positive news! Last year they started rolling out admissions on the 18th of this month and every day after that
That makes me feel a bit better. Good luck!!
Hi everyone
I thought they are gonna release decision on May 1st for early action applicants? was it rolling base???
I submitted my application on March 3rd but it still said early action, so I was expecting to get decision on May 1st.
@jinxes any application submitted after the March 1st deadline will get a decision by June 1st. It says so on the website.
@llinrs Actually, any application put in my March 1st will get a decision by May 1st. Any apps completed BY June 1st will get a decision by July 20th.
@MoeBillah I stand corrected! Thanks for the clarification!
I wonder if the decisions will be coming out this week as last year’s majority of decisions came out sometime around the 24th of April. So nervous!
