I am a sophomore in High School. I heard that there is a relationship between Columbia and Juilliard School of Music. I am already studying music underneath one of the professors at UF, but I wish to become a surgeon. Not only do I wish to know what Columbia searches for in prospects regarding schools and grades, but I also wish to know what taking studies via their relationship is like. How does it work? How do you apply for it? How does it effect you both mentally and physically? Please respond, someone who actually has a clue regarding what I'm talking about.

My friend is in that program. You have to first get accepted into both school by a regular application for Columbia and an audition piece for Julliard. If you need any further guidance you can visit columbia at Columbia College Academics > Special Programs > Julliard to get more info.

sorry I meant

Columbia College Academics > Special Programs > Julliard

Thanks. But what does the enrollment/selection committee or whatever it is called choose students? Do they look for students with broad ranges of interests regarding ECs? Do they look for strict dedications to studies? And what are the particular academic majors that make people covet an acceptance letter?

P.S.
-Could you get your friend who has the Columbia/Juilliard deal to post something? It may help...a lot. Again, thank you.
