Hello all--I was accepted to bioethics programs at Columbia (MS) and NYU (MA). The Columbia program is proctored by the School of Continuing Education, while the NYU program is sponsored by the absolutely top-notch philosophy department. My contacts in both programs tell me that the NYU program is better, and it's tough to turn down the Philosophy program there, but I'm wondering if that's enough to warrant turning down Columbia; is a twelve-month program in the SCE (any comments on perception of this department would be great as well) worth the Ivy experience, or should I invest in the marginally better (and more affordable) NYU program?

Any insights you can offer would be appreciated.
