Columbia or UPenn for Biochemistry?

hey guys, so i’ve seen a lot of these type of discussions on here but a lot of the ones for columbia and upenn were a bit older. I was accepted into both and was wondering if anybody could shed some light on which school might be the better choice for an undergrad degree in biochemistry (also taking into account the social scene, diversity and overall experience of both schools)

thanks in advance!

I would recommend UPenn. My brother is a biochemistry major with pre-med and he says that he couldn’t even imagine going to a different university.

Columbia if you prefer being in the worlds greatest city. Penn is great. But for this major I would choose Columbia

Both Penn and Columbia are incredibly strong in the natural sciences, including biochemistry. They’re very strong in pretty much every field they offer, for that matter.

Focus on the other factors – Philly vs. NYC, distribution requirements vs. Core, and so on.

Congrats! Curious to know which you ended up choosing?
