Columbia RD Applicants 2018

Do you think it’s indicative of admission or general

general, it’s just saying what our aid package would be based off of

Where does it say that? I don’t find it in my portal. Could it be because I’m an international student?

It’s in messages in financial aid

I got the reminder email, but I guess everyone did :(

It does look like everyone received the email. But maybe everyone got in. :D

Hahaha i wish!!! I’ve been getting a bunch from Dartmouth too, and it looks like there it’s actually a huge indicator. I would so much rather go to Columbia though!

It turns out I haven’t sent my family’s tax returns or W-2s to Columbia. I did fill out the CSS and FAFSA. With decisions being so close should I still bother sending one in? It would be the 2012 Income Tax Return.

And does anyone know the process of doing so? Are we mailing financial documentation or faxing via IDOC?

Thanks.

Can someone post what the email says? I never received it.

Thank you for your interest in Columbia University.

Please feel free to contact us either by phone at (212) 854-3711 or by email at ugrad-finaid@columbia.edu should you have any questions about your application materials or Columbia’s financial aid process

Yeah, I definitely never received this e-mail. Though I had already logged into that portal before.

I wouldn’t think negatively of it. It was most likely sent to applicants who haven’t done all their fin aid yet.

I got it, and mine was completed… On a similar note, does everyone’s status just say received?

You absolutely need to send in your IDOC packet, you do it through the mail and should have received an email from the college board about it. If you have the 2013 that’s preferable, as soon as you have them you need to get it to them somehow. Until then, at least send in the 2012 documents. They can’t make a financial aid decision without those tax documents, my IDOC documents didn’t totally file through right, and because I was admitted as a likely student they did my aid early. They couldn’t calculate it without those taxes, so long story short absolutely send them ASAP.

one more week to go :)

Good luck to the rest of you guys, I hope you get favorable news as well! :)

lol so did everyone receive the messages in the portal and in the email ?? ( this whole message thing is getting me paranoid )

My D also got the email and message on portal concerning submitting 2013 Tax returns. The Financial aid office stated as a response to our question that the final financial aid is calculated in the summer.

Had a heart attack from the Columbia email. Just another reminder of a day we all know. DUN DUN DUN. 8->

Not going to lie, but that email sounded like a hint of a rejection p_p
