Can someone tell me of their past experiences there? I tried a search, but wasn’t successful.

Is there some form of scholarship they offer for prospective students? Can I get a discount if I live with family members within the city? ( I have one uncle in Queens and two in the Bronx.) Can i get a discount if i room with my aunt who is also attending a summer program there.

Which programs were you in and did you enjoy them.( I think my first choice would be NYC Colonial outpost to world Capital or Narritive religion.)

Would you consider it expensive in relation to the instruction you recieve? Is the city expensive? How so?

I see there is an 86% acceptance, is it possible to get in with a 3.5+ gpa all A’s and two B’s( Best friend also wishes to come and take NYC class, but afraid of her relatively low GPA

1.) It was awesome. Easily the best summer I ever had. Very good for people who haven't visited the school and are thinking about it.

2.) The price is about half if you don't live in the dorms. I don't think there is a discount for living with someone you know though, and no scholarships.

3.) I was in the experimental physics class. It was extremely good. I had a couple of friends in the genetics one. I think they had a good time, but had lots of homework. Also my friend in college prep class had MASSIVE amounts of work, but I think he still enjoyed it. I don't know much about those classes you are talking about though.

4.) It was a moderate price, but because I will basically be paying the same price for my yearly tuition there, I guess it was expensive for me. I took 1,000 for spending, and I didn't hold back and I had plenty enough to come back with some. I am sure you could bring 500 and be good as long as you didn't get too crazy.

5.) I think the acceptence is a LOT more relaxed than the actual College. There are also far fewer applicants too. They didn't get any of my test scores (because you have to send them to a different school than CC). I also had a pretty lame essay compared to my essay for the College. 3.5 GPA is probably good enough.

Wow! Thanx
I was debating which program to go into. I'd take every class if i could. Science seemed like a very good choice for me because I LOVE physics, then again I love evey subject in school.

P.S About the reduction of tuition if you live in the doorms, are you relating to the residential student that where you actually live in a dorm ( I'm not old enough for that anyway,) but, does the half-off thing apply to the 2,600+ tuition for those under 16 making it a 1,300?

Also, do you think thst they will alow me to stay with family in the city or my aunt attending another program at the University?
Did you find the applicantion process difficult and/or time consuming?

I was talking about the price for room and board. They will let you stay with family in the city, but I don't know about with your aunt if she is staying on campus. You may need to e-mail them about that.

I didn't really find it time consuming. You have a couple of recommendations you have to get, a school report, basic info about you, and a little one page essay about yourself. Nothing real major I think.

I guess if you are under 16, you are doing the underclassmen classes. The classes I mentioned were for the junior senior division including my physics class. If you are looking at the intro to physics class, I don't know much about it. I am sure it is along the same lines as mine but probably less in depth with calculus stuff. If you want an idea of my class, I had 2 hr lecture at 10 in the morning and lab for 2.5 hr at 1:30 in the afternoon. We did some pretty cool labs too. You do class 4 days a week. When not in class you can do whatever in the city or wherever.
