For the Columbia Short Answer questions, the limit is 1500 characters, but I feel like I can answer the question well and succinctly in about 750 (half the max length). Would this be okay? Should I make it longer to fit what everyone else does (and my application won't seem weird or like I didn't try?)

don’t try making it longer if you have nothing left to say. The length doesn’t matter as much as what you have in the space: the quality of what you said. If you have something more to say, go for it, but don’t just try writing as much as you can to impress… it won’t work

I agree with the advice above. Don’t try to add.

Remember, it should be like a skirt. Long enough to cover what’s important, but short enough to remain interesting.

Thanks for the input! I LOVE the skirt analogy by the way, it completely made my day!!! :)
