@Sparks343 Are you going to withdraw your waitlist??

How many applicants get waitlisted? Does anyone know anything about that?

@lexluther96 because it says “We do not rank our waitlist. If spaces become available, we will review the entire group” in the letter, I’m guessing that it’s below 100.

@okaycool Hmm. True. Maybe even less than that… Do you know how many transfers they generally accept?

@lexluther96 I’m pretty sure I’ve read somewhere that they generally accept around 150 students out of the 2,500 applicants, but I think these were about 3-4 year old figures. It may be different this year–who knows lol

I am on a quarter system so I am not finished with my Spring quarter grades. should I just send them my winter quarter? Also did people send statements??

@greysanatomy3113 the letter didn’t really say to send spring grades, rather a transcript that reflects your most recently completed term grades, so I think sending them your transcript with winter quarter grades will be completely fine!

Thank you!! @okaycool How do u think your statement is?? I like finally had to just send mine after reading it over 100 times lol. I’m so nervous:(

@greysanatomy3113 I honestly think it’s a hit or miss. I just spoke about what I’ve done since submitting the application, and why I’m a good fit for Columbia. There was really no direction given to us, so I think it was difficult to pinpoint what to write about exactly.

Yeah I’m pretty scared. I want it so bad.

If anyone has committed to Columbia, please consider joining this group:

There’s 15 transfer students in the group right now. The more the merrier.

Did any waitlist people get an email confirmation for sending in the letter?

Accepted students: Will you be attending?

June 1st next week…getting nervous !

Hi! I just finished my first year at a CC in California, and I had a 4.0 first semester but just found out that i have one B+ on this incoming report, so my chances at 4.0 have just deflated-- completely. holds in tears I’m afraid I’m DEFINITELY not going to get into any of the Ivy Leagues now and I REALLY REALLY want to. Do you think it’s even possible now? I still have to retake my SATs too; I scored an 1860. I wanna aim for a 2000. ksfhwofewkfsd im soo afraid!

Anyone know if they’re even taking students off the waitlist?

We can’t know yet. June 1st is tomorrow.

I can’t be sure, but I think they are…I flew to New York a couple weeks ago to visit the campus and talked to a transfer admissions officer and he said it was only in really rare cases they didn’t take anybody of the waitlist. The implication seemed to be that they would this year, but obviously I can’t say it’s guaranteed.
