Anyone going here? B) I'm going Session I, for Biomedical Engineering.

For anyone curious about Columbia, I went last summer and absolutely loved it. You learn a lot, and there's plenty to do outside of class and lots of free time.

I'm going during session 1 also! Woohoo!

I think I'm going to, but I haven't decided between sessions 1 and 2.

w00t! HarlemNY, what course are you taking?

I'm going Session 1. Explorations in Genetics and Biology.

I took that last summer. Great great teacher for the lecture part.

I'm taking advanced creative writing (1st session)!

so... anyone excited?

sure... I went there two years ago, so it's nothing NEW, but it will still be fun.

I'm excited, I'm going to live on campus even though I live in Manhattan, so it will be interesting to be in a different(kind of) environment.

Nice. I'm going to be living on campus even though I live on Long Island.

Do you know when we find out what dorm we are in? I think the thing they sent us said we find out when we get there on the 2nd, but I'm not sure.

When you get there, they give you all your class information and they give you your dorm.

awesome!

I'm from manhattan and living on campus, too.

and I thought I was the only one... hehe

I live in NJ. n_n Last summer I commuted.. it'll be so much nicer just being able to live in the dorms. x)

Does anyone know if we're grouped with people from our course in terms of dorming? That would be convenient.

Nope. I think it's completely random because when I went last time, no one on the floor was in the same class.

Man, that sucks. =/ You'd think grouping people who had the most similar interests would make the most sense.

Nah, wouldn't grouping diverse people together make more sense so that they can exchange their different experiences ;)

Which dorm is better, John Jay or the suite style one?

I never saw the suite style one but John Jay was pretty nice. Everyone had singles except for these 2 French kids. Every room also has it's own window a/c.
